George Bowe Blitch sits down with Judge Kevin Sharp to discuss Leonard Peltier and his ongoing fight for his freedom, after being wrongfully imprisoned for nearly half a century.
Leonard Peltier (b. Sept. 12, 1944) is a Native American activist and member of the American Indian Movement. Following a controversial trial, filled with falsified evidence and testimony, he was convicted of aiding and abetting the deaths of two Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents during a June 26, 1975 shooting on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
This video was released on June 26th, 2022 - the 47th anniversary of the shootout on the Pine Ridge Reservation that changed the lives of all that were involved.
Today, we seek out justice, reform, and the granting of Executive Clemency for Leonard Peltier, at the hands of President Biden. One signature sends him home.
